Duo Kitā

Formed at the beginning of 2014, Duo Kitā, consists of New Zealand School of Music post-graduate guitarists, Jake Church and George Wills. Recently they have enjoyed success as soloists in the 2014 New Zealand Classical Guitar Competition. Jake received 2nd place in the Open Division as well as the audience choice award, and George placed 3rd in the Open Division and also received a prize for the best performance of a N.Z. work. Duo Kitā is mentored by award winning guitarist and Head of Guitar at the N.Z. School of Music, Dr. Jane Curry. Jake and George have been awarded a Freemasons Lankhuyzen/Whetu-Kairangi Music Award to assist their 2015 New Zealand tour.
